Description
A stem full of yellow anthers, poised and ready for what comes next. Tchaikovsky may have composed Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy for the Nutcracker, but he may well have written a similar piece to accompany these delicate anthers as they dance to the breeze.
Borrowed from New Latin anthēra, going back to Medieval Latin, "medication made from a flower, internal organs of a rose flower (used to make such medications)," going back to Latin, "medication made from a flower," borrowed from Greek anthērá, noun derivative from feminine of anthērós
