Shot at White Point, San Pedro CA . December 15th 2021, the sun setting at 4:45 pm. Here, at 4:44+, the clearing storm that finally bathed Southern California in much needed rain displays its coda.
It is said by many that sunset / sunset photographs are a dime a dozen (notably by one of my favorite photographers, Peter Baumgarten, at Olympus). His point of view is the beauty is enhanced by incorporating a focal point, something in addition to enhance the vision. I have a very similar image posted, but in this case, here came the jet contrail …

Joe, this is an amazing presentation! A lot of people don't like contrails in their images but I love them! It looks like when the sun touched the water it caused the darker clouds to develop!
