Sitting atop a dune at Mesquite, Rosemary guards my camera bag and meditates on the sunrise. From a range of dunes approximately an 1/8th mile away, I took this shot moments before full illumination of the desert floor. For the sake of perspective, the mountain you see in the distance is Tucki Mountain, the base of which lies approximately 7 miles due south from Mesquite Dunes at Hwy 190. A bit of the highway can be seen, lower left.
