Description
Lucia is / was a vibrant little spot, hanging on the very edge of the continent along the highway CA-1. Lucia is visually memorable for these assemblage of several wee cottages (Lucia Lodge) dramatically facing the ocean. There was once a small cafe, and a little general store and gas station. Fire destroyed the cafe and store in August 2021. Landslides along CA-1 had closed through traffic headed north not far from Lucia for 2 1/2 years from '24-'26.
