Description
A juvenile red-tailed hawk posing for me while standing over his lunch. He had just snagged a rabbit in the dense brush behind him in this shot. He was cautiously giving me the stink-eye.

I know this area and loved the time we spent there one day watching one of these beautiful red-tailed hawks soaring over the bluffs (along with pelicans and a falcon). This is a spectacular image, Joe!! Absolutely love the personality and emotion you caught in his eyes - impressive!
Joe Schofield replied:
Much appreciated Tina! He had just brought down a rabbit and was giving me the stink-eye :)

Thanks for putting me on your Watchlist Joe! One thing I've learned through my art is to actually SEE the little details that make all the difference. After looking through your site, I realized photographers are the same but in a different way. I can't take a level photo of a piece of paper in a cozy house. Hence my dependence on reference photos. I will be following your work and envying the things you SEE in the real world!
