Description
Located on Fleet St., Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese is one of a number of pubs in London to have been rebuilt shortly after the Great Fire of 1666. There has been a pub at this location since 1538.
It would be a fool's errand to try and sum up this landmark of a pub in a few paragraphs. Leave it at this: if you find yourself in London and you've never negotiated the stairs (mind your head) and rooms in order to sit and have pint here, do so.
You will be channeling the likes of Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Sir Alfred Lord Tennyson, Arthur Conan Doyle, Samuel Johnson, W.B Yeats, to name a few.
