Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

An early July summer morning. Your sight-line is not restricted to this 9x7 digital image, but your vision is vivid and close to 90 deg to the horizon both left and right, the sky above...clear. You feel a slight breeze on your face, and you can feel the warmth of the sun on your back.
The air ... is sweet and clean and distinctive. And just relax a bit , let go ... breathe and repeat .
Access road: This lake is located in Section 24, T39N, R5W. Drive to Castle Lake, about 11 miles from the town of Mt. Shasta, on the paved Castle Lake Road, which is usually open on Memorial Day. From Castle Lake, go about a mile south, then there is a faint trail southwest to Heart Lake.
Camping: 1 to 3 poor sites. The lake has steep shores.
Surface acres: 0.75...
As a kid I was fascinated with photographs. Look, Life magazine. National Geographic. That well-captured interplay of light and shadow...the notion of people, places and moments - all suspended in time. My first "real" camera was a Minolta Srt101. I was seduced. As a teenager, I learned how to develop film while working at Wyle Laboratories in El Segundo, and I still recall the smell of the developer...my eyes adjusting to the red filter light...and the sheer magic and delight of watching images begin to emerge. Life, family and a career as a teacher and psychologist intervened, not to mention a few more film cameras. Eventually, there was digital. Hah! Liberation! Photography is the creative medium that allows me to share...
