Description
A different take on the billowing storm clouds of spring, 2023. A late afternoon looking north from White Sands, New Mexico.
🍄 In Carlos Castaneda’s fictional work entitled Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge, he describes his initiation into a spiritual world that, among many odd experiences, included a “coming to terms” with Mescalito, a curandero who both personifies and embodies the mescaline-containing peyote cactus. Mescalito has been described as an ethereal spirit that reminds one to be ever present when exploring the most extraordinary of circumstances.
A full-res look at the sand and clouds perhaps conveys a sense of Don Juan’s visions in the Sonoran desert 🌵

Those are about the most epic clouds I've seen in a while and I really like the subtle painterly finish

Very nice work, Joe. I won't go down the Carlos Castaneda rabbit-hole. :-)
Joe Schofield replied:
Aww, Paul … even a look at the yucca and clouds in full resolution didn’t have you mumbling something spiritually incoherent and borderline metaphysical ?
