Description
Under the Hermosa Beach Pier on Saturday, January 7th, 2023. An overcast day between storms, 67 degrees f. A lone surfer barely visible on the right trying to make the best of post-storm heavy surf, now beginning to ebb. A fine day for a a stroll on Pier Avenue, a drink and some munchies. A lull between the next in a series of "atmospheric rivers" set to slam the state the day after tomorrow. Hey...fires, earthquakes, epic drought, and now, epic rain during "La Nińa" when it wasn't expected. California. Love it or leave it. It’s home.

Took me a second, but I actually spotted the surfer...gorgeous composition (not much surfing done in Loves Mill by the way)

I suppose "Fire And Rain" might link, but I was never a James Taylor fan. "King Of The World" by Steely Dan might fit if the natural disasters continue...
