Description
Driving the loop from Taos toward Angel Fire. On to Eagle's Nest, Red River, then a stop for fuel in Cuesta, New Mexico. Rolling out of Cuesta toward Taos once again as a storm in the distance informs us what to expect. It was accurate information.
Waiting for Rosemary getting some ice at the last mom & pop out of town, I had walked out to the edge of the 2-lane blacktop and was swooned by my good luck chasing the clouds.
Composing the shot, I could hear Jackson Browne's voice from his 1977 Running On Empty album:
"Rolling down 295 out of Portland, Maine
Still high from the people up there, feeling no pain
Gonna make it to New Jersey, gonna set it up and do it again..."

Whenever I want to capture an epic sky in the future I'll be looking at this image for inspiration

Joe, I don't know if I've ever seen such a crisp, clean b&w before! The sky brings drama, the tones and contrasts are perfect! Hope you didn't get wet! :-)
